In 2002 Robert accepted a position to help increase and grow the Musical Theatre element within the Degree courses at Trinity College of Music, including sitting on the steering committee to write a new Foundation Degree to expand and formalise Musical Theatre in an academic delivery.
He developed a course for both singers and instrumentalists, offering valuable experience in working to a West End style-demand in preparation for a career in theatre, giving semi-staged concerts featured songs from selected shows with full orchestral accompaniment.
Robert was invited to create and lead a course in Musical Theatre at Dartington International Summer School, which threw and developed to great success for 9 years.
After advising on a new degree for the Arden School of Theatre in Manchester, he was invited to lead the course.
Robert has a had a pivotal role in growing the Arden BA Honours Degree in Musical Theatre to maturity as a successful training ground for actor, singers and dancers.
